Traces 1 (ink and watercolour on paper) has been pre-selected for the RSW 146th Open Annual Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, 5–30 December 2026.

RIP David Hockney I first encountered his swimming pools in about 1995 at the big collection of his work at Salts Mill and instantly fell in love. Then again seeing his Grimms Fairy tale etchings at Winchester library when I was doing my degree. ?
I like peering at my paintings from a distance, looking at them from the kitchen sink or upstairs window. Whilst i love texture and marks - I always like to see if the painting has impact too. 🤓 Maybe it’s because I’m really short-sigh
